Be in Maradona’s boots

Since it was scored, countless numbers of football fans from around the globe have no doubt tried to follow in Diego Maradona’s footsteps by attempting to recreate ‘the goal of the century’ from the 1986 World Cup finals.

Now, you can literally be in his shoes thanks to Puma after they reissued a remake of the beautiful Puma King Maradona Super in the summer, to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of El Diego winning the World Cup for Argentina almost single-handedly.

The boots are extremely limited edition, with only 1986 (of course) pairs available globally, and come with the same tongue, pattern and stitching as the originals plus several unique design elements telling the stories of the Mexico ‘86 World Cup.

Iconic details include an embroidered number 10 on the heel, a picture of the great fantasista on the tongue, and a graphic showing the path that Maradona took to score the legendary goal of the century.

A golden stamp also declares: 29 June 1986. 114, 600 spectators, 11 touches, 6 opponents, 2 PUMA Kings. 1 Diego Maradona.
