Italian Number 10 legend Roberto Baggio has stated that he has always been a great admirer of Juventus forward Carlos Tevez, and is pleased that the Argentinian is enjoying such a good season with his former club.
Tevez currently wears the famous Number 10 jersey that Baggio once wore for the Bianconeri – winning both World and European Player of the Year whilst its occupant – and the former playmaker believes that “El Apache” is currently confirming how good he really is.
Speaking to Tuttosport, he stated:
“I adore Tevez and have done since I watched him play for Boca Juniors. He is confirming that he’s a great player. It’s not easy for anyone to score regularly in Serie A, so I am truly happy for him.”
Baggio, who is known to spend a lot of time in Argentina and follows the domestic league there, went on to talk about his former team mate, Juve coach Antonio Conte, ahead of the Europa League clash with Fiorentina – another of Baggio’s former clubs.
“Conte is doing a fantastic job, the results speak for him. Signals could be seen already that he would be a great coach when we played together.”
