Gazzetta Football Italia and James Richardson (@ACJimbo to all you kids) gained more fantastic access with yet another delightful and lengthy sit-down with Roberto Baggio – this time after his move to Bologna in 1997.
In this revealing, refreshingly sincere and, at times, playful chat, Baggio discusses his reasons for joining Bologna, the pain he still feels after his Pasadena nightmare and his burning desire to make the Azzurri World Cup squad in 1998. Oh, and the reason for cutting off his trademark ponytail!
Baggio also reveals why he chose to remain in Serie A, along with his sense of loss at not being chosen to represent his country for so long.
